Range P3S vs P4 both stock

Well did a range test today to compare my stock P4 to my stock P3S. Made it 14162 feet compared to my P3S 13040 feet. My question is I was in Sport mode and it took 5:16 to warm up and fly that distance and only had 58% battery to return on where the P3S took 5:23 with 80% battery left. Does Sport mode use that much more power???

Try a cold IMU calibration. Shouldn't take 5 mins. to warm up.

The area you use it in makes all of the difference. Look back at my map (over a lake) and then his. There is nothing around. A busy wifi area will kill a drones signal. Heck, even a microwave oven will mess with your video feed.

I read it like it took 5+ minutes to warm up AND fly the distance.

Calibrating the IMU while the drone is cold will allow it to warm up quicker than if it was calibrated at a warmer temperature.
