Range extend. DJI 2+ with no luck

Hi

Im trying to extend the range of my phantom vision 2 plus.

I opened up the wifi repeater and connected pigtails to it with directional antennas on. i also did the same with the controller and connecting a 5.8ghz antenna on that. I've flown it off the roof a couple of times as i live in a 15 story building but it only travels up a couple of hundred feet then comes back home after loosing connection. does it only reach a maximum height from ground level or should it fly higher since i am higher

is there anything i can do to make my phantom fly much further?????

Try turning the potenciometer under the tilt lever on the back of the controller all the way to the right (iirc).
