I get this only when rc is close to aircraft it flickers between the 2 then disappeared once airborne

I just playing with phantom in the kitchen aircraft and remote were 3 -4 foot from each other and i got occasional weak remote signal, is that normal because i was so close?
Ill feel so much better when i actually get to test and fly after dbs mod, right now im paranoid ive cocked something up lol
