So, since a Hubsan x4 pro is a little pricey and not out yet anyways, I actually talked my wife into letting me spend some of my money for a little 250 quad project. I found 2 that looked fairly cheap to build and came in almost complete kits for under $300. So, now I'm trying to decide between these two kits.

first up, the QAV250, which comes with...

1 x QAV 250mm quadcopter CF frame
1 x Camera
1 x TS351 Transmitter
1 x RC305 Receiver
1 x CC3D flight controller
4 x Emax MT 1806 2280KV motor ( 2x CW + 2x CCW )
4 x Emax Simonk 12A ESC
8 x 5030 5x3" Gemfan propeller ( 4x CW + 4x CCW ) ( 2 random color,4pcs per color )
1 x XT60 plug
1 x ESC Distribution board

Price for kit: $245.99
free shipping
ships from Hong Kong (bleh)

Next up, is the ZMR250, which comes with...

1 x ZMR250 250MM mini quadcopter frame
4 x DragonFly MC1806 KV2300 motor
4 x Dragonfly 12a ESC built-in 5V/2A BEC
4 x 5030 electric CW/CCW props
1 x Naze32 full version flight controller
1 xvSONY Effio-e 4140+811 1/3 CCD 2.6mm Lens 700TVL camera
1 x AOMWAY 5.8g mini 200mw 32CH transmitter
2 x Battery velcro straps
1 x 5.8G clover 3-leaf TX antenna
2 x 20CM servo extension cable
1 x 3M double sided adhesive tape
and silicon wires,straps,shrink tubes,T-plug etc

Price: $259.
free shipping
ships from China (still bleh)

So what do you think? Also feel free to recommend other kits or better build options if it can be done under $300.

Update: I decided to do a custom build after doing quite a bit of research. So far the build is as follows

Frame: zmr250
FC: naze32
ESC: Emax 12A w/simonK firmware
motors: dys be1806 2300kV black edition
props: Gemfan 5040 5x4

Tx: FS-T6
Rx: R6-B X1
