props get their lift from the bottom side anyway.
I painted the top of my props silver and just did my first test flight. no visible affect in performance, lift or flight time !!!! it will prolly chip and need repair, so I will look more into the dye, but paint on top of the props is doable !!!!!
I flew out around 400-500m and vertically up to about 100m...
