Powering a Gimbal

Got a gimbal on the way, was going to use the grey/red aux power wires ,but now have read some stories of cable overloads and meltdown, which way to do I go ? do I use the battery balance plug and use main battery power or strap on an aux battery to power the gimbal , suffering the extra weight, Any of your experiences or advice would be good to hear

I have wired my aeroxcraft gimbal up to the aux power lead- everything working fine.

I will go with your experience and power it from the aux power lead which I also power the fpv feed.
