This photo was reported to have been taken in a side room near the New Horizon's control room. A drone pilot was seen flying a P3, believed to be in orbit around Pluto. NASA commented, "We like to keep costs low, but still use the best technology available."

That phantom is lost! Only 26% battery left! Way past the point of no return!

Love the atmosphere and the surface temperature... And plenty of open area to fly, no trees, poles' power lines or unaware people to crash into. ;-)

And the Phantom 3/Inspire 1 intelligent battery charging station is free.. Hahaha

That pilot app is connected to an inspire and not a phantom. Good try :p

It's clearly solar powered and very noisy!

Ohhh the latency!

It was me but please don't tell the FAA I was over 20,600,000,000,000 feet AGL.
As long as you stay within the solar system, it's all good.

Yes, if only takes two Streamlight LED flashlights, to power it up.
No gravity, makes things flow much simpler, and no latency. Ever. Hahaha

Three hour flight times on one charge... Way to go NASA!
& I like how they utilized the Gold Phantom 3 Pro stickers for masking tape... ;-)

That really cracked me up.
I've done it far too many times myself and its always on the peachy shots! Thats why I loved Litchi on the P2V+ ... auto record function.

That's gotta be the most complex "unboxing" pic I've ever seen.
