Please tell me there is a screen auto rotate option

I can't find one. It sucks having to do the 180 thing.

What are you trying to do? Plug in the USB/lightning in the other side?

On the P4P the screen is in the normal mounting position. On the Mavic, it is mounted below the controller. That causes the buttons on the screen to be on the opposite side, and up side down. The screen only has one mounting position for the adapter that plugs in to it. I hope this makes sense.

If your complaint is about using the monitor with a Mavic, is just using a longer cable an option? And plug it into the larger USB port?
