phone GB's needed to handle App

I;m buying the Phamtom 3 Pro,to enhance and extend my photography, but it's busting my budget. My question is I understand Ill need an Iphone or Android to monitor and run the App,I can buy a 16 GB like the Nexus or Viking 10 for under $180.00 but do I really need more GB's or the more expensive phone/monitors to be able to handle things.

Storage space is irrelevant. You'll want something w/ a modern-ish CPU/GPU. Just pick something from @msinger 's list that fits your budget.

16GB of storage is plenty for the app. You only need more storage if you are using the tablet for a lot of other stuff.
The amount of storage on the tablet isn't a critical factor. The processing power of the CPU and graphics chip is.
