Phantom onboard antenna boosters

Is there a product or way people have found to boost or modify the onboard antennas? With all the remote wifi boosters out here now wouldn't someone have come up with a way to extend or boost the receiving wifi antennas within the drone itself?

Has this been discussed or figured out yet? Seems like the weakest link as we keep adding boosters & antennas onto our remote.

Yes it's been done. Off the top of my head, the amp is a small 2 watt powered with a 5 volt transformer that's connected to the main power. I'm sure if you searched you'd find a number of discussions.
