I like to fly alot with my camera at a 45 degree angle of close to it. The problem i run into is with the hero 3 black the 170 degree FoV keep catching the right leg in all of my shots. any thoughts on correcting this?

yea I've been Photoshoping it out, but i really love the fish eye look. medium kills that, im looking for an attachment of sorts that would lower the camera maybe

To keep the fish-eye setting, you have to use the wider stance landing gear from:

Better yet use the retractable landing gear like the one below:

I use the hero3 and use wide and have never got the landing gear in view. I use the original watertight case that came with the gopro, maybe that is helping?

I made a small plastic adapter that lowers the camera and moves it forward a small amount. Only about an inch. It moves it just enouch to miss the legs and is small enough so that it does not extend below the legs and doesn't interfere with them. I use an earlier Hero and original camera holder that came with my Phantom. Same principal though. Just move the camera.
