I'm a rookie and was wondering if anyone can steer me in the direction of phantom "flying classes" or certifications that would allow me to fly with more confidence. Thanks!

You can buy a small pocket quad. or go to marshals and get a little helicopter for under 20 bucks. In my opinion, the quadcopters and the coaxial helicopters (where you have two props stacked on top of each other, one spins one way and the other the opposite way) offer a very similar flight. If you can master the little guys and be able to fly it around the house and objects and land in your microwave, you will do fine on the phantom. With the GPS and auto centering sticks, it honestly can fly itself.

That's what I'm doing. In fact my Hubsan H107C arrived today. The plan is to master it before buying a Phantom.
