Phantom 4 charger gets very hot

Just got my phantom 4. Is it normal for the battery charger to get very hot while charging a battery ?
My phantom 3 pro charger never got hot like this one.

I know mine gets hot, i belive its because battery is high capacity

Everyone's opinion of hot is different. Any way you can measure the temp of it? Mine gets pretty hot but nothing I haven't seen to other chargers (including my macbook pro) when converting a lot of current to charge a high capacity battery.

Mine got hot as well I glued little rubber pads to raise it off the desk when charging

Are you charging both the quad battery and the RC at the same time? Mine got particularly hot when I did that... before I realized you weren't suppose to charge them at the same time.

Edit: I realized after posting that you said you had a phantom 3, so you're probably already aware of the "don't charge RC and quad battery rule"...
