Phantom 3S Range Extenders ?

Hi guys just wondered if anyone is using any range extenders and whats your thoughts on them ?
I just want a bit more range ,so have ordered one of these below , are they worth it ?

I tried that solution, but it was not a good one. I use this on the P3S

It works a bit, but for under $10 who's to complain. The Achilles Heal with the P3S is the wifi signal, and this only helps with the control signal. These work much better with the P3A and P3P as both of those RC's have the antenna on the outside.
