when I change the battery on the drone, to put a new one in again do I have to recalibrate again or not just wondering, what others do, thanks

I have 3 batteries and never did anything in the beginning or when changing. Have no issues outside of weak signal that I always had before. Can run out about 2,000 feet without too much of a problem but I am running all OEM. Was thinking about some sort of signal booster but not sure what to use yet.

You don't need to calibrate anything. Only when the aircraft receive a major upgrade like a new firmware or you changed the motherboard inside.

Some people insist on recalibrating the compass before each flight. This is just a hangover from older quads, where the compass calibration was lost on each reboot. On the P3 and above the calibration data is held in non-volatile memory so is retained.
Calibrating runs the risk of introducing problems. Get one good calibration and leave it unless the app tells you otherwise.
