There is no particular setting for ND8 only as the vid below can be used with any ND filter in general. ND type depends on light conditions. Make sure the EV meter is close to 0 to ensure you have good exposure. Out here in sunny California I mostly use ND16 if no clouds, ND8 with clouds, and ND4 dusk or dawn (sometimes none). I haven't used ND32 yet but soon when we go up to the mountains for some snow.

Shutter speed close to twice frame rate with ISO as low as possible. The same as any ND filter (or no filter for that matter).
