Have no fear Young Grasshopper, for all roads lead to Litchi. You only need DJI Go to register the drone in the unlikely event that has not been done already and for some of the more obscure calibration procedures.Hi all,
I was thinking of purchasing a really nice phantom 3 standard for a good price.
I have read the software is no longer supported by DJI, is there any way around this or can other software be used.
I am on iOS, cheers.

Litchi is dead easy to use and does not require advanced knowledge to use unless one intends to create waypoint flight plans. I don't use DJI Go or DJI Go4 unless it is for the purpose of calibrating a variable that Litchi is not capable of calibrating.you mean the app for the phone, its called the DJI GO app and can be downloaded from here
Also you dont need to register, however you do need to create an account at dji website which you will use to login to the app.
Dont buy litchi app, its not for you until you have flown for at least a few months

Its easy for someone who has flown for a while, for a newbie i dont recommend using any other app than the DJI, just a personal observation
There's nothing to worry about.I was thinking of purchasing a really nice phantom 3 standard for a good price.
