phantom 3 charger !

could any one help I recently accuired an inspire 1 as a progression of my phantom 3 standard but it has no battery/controller charging unit . the lead is there but no actuall charger. could I use my phantom 3s unit to do the job or is the current different on the different units

The opinion stated on the Inspire forum is no, you can't. Is battery charger interchangeable with phantom but maybe someone here can also confirm this.

The opinion is also supported here Phantom 3 Batteries -- Tips and Tutorial albeit the writer also seems a bit confused!

You can’t.

The “charger” is simply a regulated DC pover supply.

The inspire battery requires 26.1V, 17.4V for the phantom. Same Hi V LiPO but 6 cells for the inspire vs 4 for the phantom.
