Phantom 3 2.7k camera

Doubtful. I'd assume you'll be able to switch out the camera between the S and A like you can do w/ the A and P.

From what I've read, even though the Standard has 2.7K, it doesn't use the same Sony sensor that both the Advanced and Pro use. I'll stick with the higher quality sensor and 1080P personally.

Where did you read this? I'd be surprised if it's not the same sensor. It could be the same imager used in the Hero 3 black but I'd like to confirm that.

I don't know who I have to beg at DJI to get 2.7K on the P3P. 65 Mbps, 48p, please!

Yes I have saw the same thing. GoPro, P3P, P3A use the same Sony sensor. Not the Standard.

No details in the Engadget article. Unless they did a teardown, I am going to guess they don't know any better than we do.

According to DJI's site, the spec looks pretty much identical. And the only hardware I know of that has a 2.7K mode is the Exmor / Ambarella combo.
