Phantom 2 will not turn on

Hi there, I am a new owner of the phantom 2.
I made my first flight successfully but now the phantom won't turn on (with a fully charged battery)
I insert the smart battery in the battery slot, press the button once check the level (all 4 green leds are on) and then i press the button for 2 seconds but the dji will not turn on any lights or make any sounds

any ideas?

Make sure the battery is fully inserted into the Phantom...
Sometimes its a bit of a tight fit.

Just got my Phantom 2. Charged all batteries. Installed all firmly. Controller does not beep, just stays red. Quad does not stay on. lights all come on with 1st touch, then on 2 second hold noting but lights while holding. If I hold 5sec or longer, the red light blink a lot then it turns off??? Help please.

update:

I think its a problem with the 2 small pins (switch?) that connect to the battery. I tried inserting the battery many times and at some point the phantom turned on, but then i could not turn it off. Even when I ejected the battery and connected back in the phantom would immediately turn on.
I am not sure if its the smart battery's problem or the main unit's problem...
