Phantom 2 wifi range extender

Hi guys I'm using my fc40 with a gimbal and an sj5000+,
but as we know the Wifi range is not that good.
If I buy the Wifi range extender of the phantom 2 it will work with my camera? I know that the Range Extender use the 2.4ghz band so it shouldn't interfere with the 5.8 GHz tx

If is it possible to use... there are two dji boosters re500 and re700 which one should I choose?

The RE units are only for the Vision range of quads, they won't work for aftermarket gimbals and cameras
