Ok, So I got a picture from the experimental setup on the APP from the Vision+ using the birds stock tx......etc... only a 3rd party camera used.

The original gimbal base was also still in place and allowed telemetry data to be seen on the App.....

I basically connected a cctv camera to the AV wires taken from the vision + gimbals connector (pictured)
I powered the cctv camera via a direct power lead and not through the bird as this is only to see if I could get the video....

It didn't work when connected and required me to power down the bird and then power back up, open app and hey hey, picture is there........

So FPV FIX for those that need it, using a gopro, etc.... or any camera with AV out...

This does not record, or work the gimbal at all, so independent recording is required for those that are looking to set this up....

Gimbal control is next on the list.....

Hope this information is useful to all the others with no FPV

connection

Re: Phantom 2 Vision+ FPV using 3rd party camera WORKING**

Wow nice !

I just need more info and detailed pictures pls.
I understand you toke a connection out of the connector ?

Re: Phantom 2 Vision+ FPV- Stock tx &3rd party camera WORKI

Looking at the picture, the front of your Vision+.

The end 2 wires on the gimbal are the wires needed.
The very end is video hot and the second from end is ground.

Connect to any AV camera and it will be seen on official App for fpv......

Hmmm perhaps a trip to the hobby store for some wire and plugs is in my near future, any one have a 3D printer, find a way to mount a go pro to the camera on the gimbal and you may be on to a money making venture, I'd buy!!

Re: Phantom 2 Vision+ FPV- Stock tx &3rd party camera WORKI

My picture is gaining popularity)))) no one can answer me in many forums - a voltage of 3 and 4 pines? This is the power wifi module from suspension.

Re: Phantom 2 Vision+ FPV- Stock tx &3rd party camera WORKI

The Lightbridge is so **** expensive, so how would we go connecting the video feed out of the gimbal to a 2.4Ghz FPV TX which is a good bit cheaper?
You could in theory go from the video out of the gimbal through an iOSD mini to a 3rd party 2.4Ghz TX and have a lag free higher res feed to the monitor of your choice yeah?
Of course you'd need to install a can bus but thats easy enough.

Thoughts anyone?

Re: Phantom 2 Vision+ FPV- Stock tx &3rd party camera WORKI

Just what you said ("You could in theory..."). CAN bus is already present on main board; just has different connectors.

Re: Phantom 2 Vision+ FPV- Stock tx &3rd party camera WORKI

So! let's summarize: Today we know all wire up the wifi module - contained in the picture. those who have no gimbal or it is faulty need to submit a video signal to the wifi module (as do we know) and apply power to the module (because it is powered by the suspension) I guess that power go from pins 3 and 4. Please someone serviceable gimbal trying on the voltage between these pins. how many volts?

Re: Phantom 2 Vision+ FPV- Stock tx &3rd party camera WORKI

Connected a micro camera with AV output to the 5 & 6 wire of the 6 wire connector.
As 5 was mass and 6 to the AV+.
The **** thing worked and it is displayed in the app.

As nr 3 & 4 of the same connector are - & + 12v DC with no signal on it ( seen on the oscilloscope ).

Re: Phantom 2 Vision+ FPV- Stock tx &3rd party camera WORKI

Thank you for responding! pins 3 and 4 of this module power supply. What voltage on pairs 3 -2, 3-1?

Re: Phantom 2 Vision+ FPV- Stock tx &3rd party camera WORKI

seems like a similar setup may work, thoughts?

Re: Phantom 2 Vision+ FPV- Stock tx &3rd party camera WORKI

I do not have gimbal. I connected 12v to pins 3 and 4 - wifi module works. to pins 5 and 6 I connect the video output of the gopro. modules are connected with an extender, but no pictures with gopro, no telemetry data is not. where to connect pins 1 and 2?
