Phantom 2 V2 Custom Legs / Compass

I recently purchased the P2 V2 and would like to replace the stock legs with a kit from simensays/shapeways... I'm hesitant to mess around with the compass on V2 as it is now encased within the stock gear. Does anyone have any experience in changing out the legs? Any concerns or problems with taking the compass out of the casing?

I'm not familiar with how those mount but this is what I did with mine. I didn't want to mess with the compass.

Nice idea and it looks cool too! Unfortunately the ones I have require 4 legs so I'd have to do something about the compass.

The compass case does come apart but I'm not sure what you'd do with it then.
