Does anybody know if there is a altitude cap when flying in GPS mode?
I time my ascent for 180 seconds, just straight up, full blast.
The video shows it stops climbing well before the 180 seconds.

I don't have an altimeter or downlink to tell me how high I'm at, but Its definitely high.

Does DJI GPS mode cap the altitude?

you can set or change limits in the naza software... so it has the capability of limiting but I believe it is set at 2000 meters from the factory and you likely were not that high!

Ya, for sure wasn't 2000 meters! I still had great visual contact with it, so I'm thinking closer to 100 meters.
Here's a little pan from this afternoon after it stopped climbing http://vimeo.com/89576811
I will have to rip into the settings tomorrow and figure it out. Thanks man.

Phantoms can climb over 500m/minute (maybe a little less at your altitude). Not sure when you stopped climbing during that 180 seconds but you appear to be well over 100 meters. (I use to fly helicopters in that area out of Hill AFB back in the 80s)
