I just purchased the Phantom 2 with Gimbal. I want to connect my fatshark fpv using the Gopro hero 3+ I see there is a cable extending out of the Phantom which connects inside to some video plug. I also watched a video on youtube where someone is selling a cable that will allow this to work, but removing the cable that is already there.

So my question is, buying this model with the gimbal what do I need to accomplish connecting my fatshark transmitter to my Gopro? And if there are any good instructions on this please post the links.

Thanks for the help

If your Fatshark came with a transmitter, and you are not adding an on screen display module (DJI IOSD mini). I think the cable you are looking for can be bought here http://www.firstpersonview.com/cabl...sd-to-immersionrc-fat-shark-transmitter-cable. It's pretty much plug and play.

I just want to ask how comfortable are you disassembling your Phantom? It's not that hard if your technically inclined, but if not you may want to enlist some in-person assistance from either your local hobby store or maybe someone nearby from this forum.

+1 It can be done that way, but that cable is the one to connect the iOSD mkII to an immersion/fatshark Tx.

Grandpa Jake, if you have an iOSD mini, this is the cable you need: http://www.firstpersonview.com/cables/p ... ransmitter

If you don't have an iOSD mini, then use this cable: http://www.firstpersonview.com/cables/d ... tter-cable

Whichever of the two cables you use, you need to get inside the shell, and plug it into the same port that cable (brown/red/brown/yellow) you found coming out of the Phantom is connected to currently. The other end will power your fatshark Tx as well as send it the video feed from your gopro (which is piped in to the Phantom via the main cable already on the gimbal)

OI, you're right. The picture at the link I gave looked like the right one but the description is for the IOSD.
