Hey guys: Looking into getting a Panel Antenna for my receiver monitor, right now I have a 4 leaf clover antenna on it by itself. The panel antenna is a Flysight 5.8 GHZ 11 DB gain antenna. I am getting about 1000 to 1500 feet right now with the clover leaf antenna, will this one help out the distance any, I know it has a narrow beam and you have to point it in the direction of the drone is flying. I have searched this site for other answers and there is a lot of conflicting reports, so I thought I would just ask quickly.
This is for a phantom 1.1.1 with a Boscam T832 TX and a simple TFT monitor receiver. The drone has a 3 leaf clover antenna on it.
