Paint/dye rc antennas?

I painted my rc black to match my p3a that is halfway done so far (pics coming later). I taped off all my buttons and painted everything else but the antennas until I find out for sure, will paint effect reception at all? What about rit dye? I'm using gloss black Krylon fusion. If anyone has done this or know the answer I would like to know so I can get this thing black, the white antennas stand out now.

Color should not matter on antenna but based on windsurfer working theory, antenna should not be coated with reflective and metallic paint. Coat should be very thin. I don't fiddle with antenna.

OK thanks. It's not metallic or anything so I will only do one light coat maybe two.
