I have tried shooting in 4:3 and 16:9. In regular single shot mode and HDR and all pics are about 3.5mb. Is there a way to get larger pics. 12mb camera, right?

I suggest you shoot in RAW. My RAW photos average around 24 MB in size. RAW also gives you much more latitude in adjusting color, exposure, etc.

You want larger pics ... or larger file sizes?
Look at your 4:3 pics. They measure 4000 x 3000 pixels ... that's 12 million pixels or 12 MB which is as big as the Phantom camera can record.
Even in Raw, it will be no bigger.
Jpg is a compressed format so the file size is less than 12MB even though the photo is 12MB.
Take a photo that all very similar ... like all sea and it will be a smaller file size than a complicated picture with lots of colours and shapes because the jpg compression works best on simple images where much is the same.
