Hi,
So I bought some filters for my P3S,
I got chance to try them out for the first time today,
I'm not sure if I'm using them correctly or not,
I left the still camera on auto,
Should I have set it on manual and adjusted myself ?
I'm looking at the photos and they kinda look dark to me,
I have attached a couple of pics to this post,
The first one is taken using the ND4 Filter and the second one is taken using the CPL Filter,
How do I focus onto things whilst using filters,
If I focus onto the sky then the ground is totally dark,
If I focus on the ground then the sky is a total bright whiteout,
I'm stuck, can anybody with filter knowledge kindly assist me please,
I have included a pic of the filters I bought too,
Thank you in advance for any help.

ND filters are used to reduce the amount of light coming into the lens. You could try half ND filters (if you can find them for the P4) where the top half of the filter is darkened but the bottom half is clear. This helps balance the image.

There's always photoshop too. :)

Do you have trouble with the added weight on the camera because of the filters? I bought a similar set of filters and my gumball over heats and the camera drops when they are on.

Not had any issues with them on as of yet,
Only had them on once and they were fine
I went though 3 battery's using the filters and seemed fine
