Hi guys.
I’m getting some strange things happen with the tone on start up.
I always get a nice clear rising da-da-da-da when I turn it on, but the second tone changes.
Sometimes I get the standard daaa-da-da and other times I get a longer da-da
Can anyone explain why I get a difference in sounds and what they mean?

Thanks

Robin

I can't explain what any change in startup sound might mean and also don't know if some sort of official diagnostic code is contained therein, although I would guess probably not.

But I believe that the startup tone is created by the ESC's sending differing frequency pulses to the motor(s), so it's possible (but not necessarily true) that any change in the sound of the tones might either indicate an upcoming motor problem or some other sort of firmware or hardware glitch/problem.

My first step would be to do a careful inspection of the motors....

*******Ah - I now see that you've also added this question to an existing thread.... Standard - Startup sound **********

To keep it 'tidy' all answers to that thread perhaps?... I've added mine...
