P3A screen lag

I have a P3A with a galaxy tab 4. I get quite a bit of screen lag. Is it possible it's the tablet or the cable?

Not sure 5.0 is compatible with a tab 4

No luck still super laggy. Maybe just and old tab 4?

Would it be easier to just buy a new tablet from best buy?
