P3 standard disconnecting from Samsung phone.

I was trying to help a guy setup his p3 standard for the first time. I finally got the phone to pickup the bird and when we took it out to launch, it disconnects from the phone FPV. You can still fly it and the FPV will work for a while, then it disconnects. I have it set in beginner mode but did not do the latest firmware upgrade. He was going to try and do the update tonight, if not I will update it for him tomorrow and try it again. Anyone else ever had issues like this before?

What kind of phone is he using?
 
I was wondering if it was a device recommended by DJI or another commonly used device. If he's using a device on that list, it should work just fine with DJI GO. Was there a lot of potential Wi-Fi interference in the area? That could cause issues with the FPV too.

slide down from the top and make sure the usb connection is set of midi connection ,NOT usb transferring files.

fixed my issue
