Please excuse my newbness I just ordered my P3 Pro today. I am aware of the dozens of reports of flyaways of P2's and several of the threads hint that the P3 being based on new hardware may not be as susceptible to the issues. Realizing the P3 is a new platform and only a small fraction of people have them yet, does the problem still exist ? Does switching into ATTI recover when this does happen ?

I don't think the Phantom 3 is going to be as susceptible to the fly-away issue since it has a long "warming up" time out of the box. In most cases, a sufficient number of satellites have been acquired and the home point as been marked before the warm up completes. That is going to automatically take care of many cases where Phantom 2 pilots take off too quickly.

buy one and read d instructions flyaway is user error most likely, that pilot error is for commercial planes
