P2V+ TX Question

I have recently got a few extra parts from a guy I know. He gave me a TX from a hubsan, which has a screen on it. I am wondering if its possible to use that tx with my phantom? If I would have to modify things, i am fine with it, I am just trying to keep the phantom as much in one piece as I can. If not I may just throw the internals from another drone and try it that way. I did the battery hack mod and would like to get away from the stupid "smart" board but I would be happy with using the other tx for now till i can figure out what i want to do with these other internals. I have a power board, GPS, gyro, and transmitter for another drone I was thinking of transplanting in the phantom body. Flame me if you like, I'm just trying to find info and thoughts. Thanks
