P2V RANGE EXTENDER and RC USE ON P2V+

Many of us will continue to own our old P2V's after upgrading. I have 2 range extenders which I'd like to use with the P2V+. Are they compatible? Will the extended range of the p2V+ be compromised with the use of the old P2V range extender?

It now appears that the P2V+ RC transmitter is lesser powered than the P2V RC and conversely, the P2V+ range extender has is higher powered than its predecessor.

Has anyone tried binding their old P2V RC with the new plus so as to keep the old stock RC range?

Also, is anyone aware of a retailer that's selling the newer, higher powered, P2V+ range extender?
