I just ordered a pair of goggles because I find I have trouble concentrating on more things than one; the TV monitor approach wasn't working for me. With goggles however I'm anticipating feeling cut off from the visual ques of altitude.
I ran across mention of OSD and did some poking around. It seems like OSD's present you with a flood of information in your goggles. Maybe one day I'd appreciate that but for now it's too much. One OSD I looked at said you could program which functions you would see, this is heading in the right direction but the documentation was a bit vague. Also, I can't tell which OSD's are compatible with the Phantom.
I also came across mention that if you wanted accurate altitude information that you'd need an OSD with a barometric sensor.
If I could find something that would give you audio feedback, like the frequency of a tone changing relative to altitude, that would be the best of all worlds.
Can anyone describe their experience with OSD's and their Phantom?
