Never had an accident/crash and just one morning one of the props won't fully fire up. it spins in an actual pattern which makes me think it's a software glitch. what do you guys think? im traveling in two weeks and want to bring it with me and wonder if it's something i can do myself?

thanks guys!

Have you tried tying it down and applying throttle?
At idle the motors may appear to be operating a bit differently from each other.

Sure looks like a bad ESC.
I say that because the motors don't have any moving parts to wear other than the bearings. It seems as though it has a commutation problem (timing and feedback for energizing the proper coils in sequence).

If you can remove the motor and try it on another arm (ESC) you'll know for sure.
(got soldering skills)

ESC's are not too expensive (~$20)

And NO you can't take of with just three motors so don't try.
