yeh - i'm a bit confused by this TBH

I was under the impression that the charger supplied by dji was a lipo charger - not just a power supply.
and that it adjusted its amperage during the charge cycle, just like any other lipo charger.

But after seeing this, maybe the charger circuit is built into the battery itself?

If not, and the dji charger is indeed a proper charger - this lead would be mega dangerous

The person who made this lead may not have realised that it's gonna damage the batteries if one finishes charging before the others.
and potentially cause a battery to explode

Could anyone shed any light on this

Logically, the controller circuit is in each battery. However, I think charging 3 at once with the standard weak charger is a bad idea.

Right, like Droid says, The charging/protection circuitry is all in the battery. The DJI power supply is basically just an AC/DC converting power adapter. Charging 3 batteries at a time with it should work okay, but It will take longer and a constant load on the charger like that might take its toll over time.

The DJI charger is indeed just a 12V PSU. The intelligence is in the battery.
You can charge the batteries using an aftermarket charger if it supports charging of Pb batteries.
