Old vs new shell for P3P regarding motors and the tabs they sit on

I have not seen this mentioned anywhere, so I'm putting it out there for information.

I have a P3P and am in process of replacing the shell. My P3P has the newer style motors. I ordered a shell on amazon and received one of the old style shells with no extra structural webbing. The other thing about this older shell, the tabs where the motors sit DO NOT have the notch in them.

Bottom line, the newer style motors are not compatible with the older style shells that do not have a 'V' notch in where the motors sit. My newer style motors do not mount to this older style case properly.

Must be very, very old stock. Guess you've returned the shell pack for a refund?

Unfortunately I didn't notice the motors wouldn't mount until I got everything else switched over, so I'm going to wait until the new one comes in, and then yes I'll be sending it back for refund.

Of all the threads I read about new and old style shells, I never saw this mentioned as an issue...
