This morning while watching NBC waiting for the Today show, Wild America was on that local station. At one point Marty Stouffer's brother was shown with about four large balloons, a contraption to keep it all together, and a large camera. He was using it for aerial shots of hot springs in Yellowstone park. It was really funny to see this device and thinking if he only had a Phantom. But being commercial he would have gotten in trouble.

Yup... makes perfect sense that the balloon rig would be legal. After all... It's much more controllable than a quadcopter and what could possibly go wrong with that camera dropping from altitude... FAA!!! Hello!!?? Hello!!?? Is there anybody in there??? (nitwits...)   :D

And, depending on the type of balloons, it could easily have reached commercial airspace! And they worry about us!?
