NFZ work around

I was able to fly all over downtown Kansas City right next to the downtown airport and well within the no fly zone. I simply called the tower manager each time I took off and gave them my location and expected flight duration. They were easy to deal with. I got incredible shots.

My only question is, am I ok to fly over buildings and roads at altitude with this permission?

Mine doesn't lock up in NFZ, just has a warning that pops up that you have to cancel.

The workaround is that if you call the airport, they are really cool about giving you permission.

... This is not a workaround , you were in a warning zone ... Not a NFZ. Your air craft will not take off in a NFZ. [emoji52]

That's kind of odd, it shouldn't have allowed you to fly. I'm 5 miles out and I get that annoying NFZ. What FW version of phantom 3 pro do you have installed?
