Newbie - new Phantom 4

I have received my new (yet to be opened) Phantom 4. Is there anything I should do/know before embarking on this P4 journey?

I have a P2 and have had many successful flights (and some not so good). I've had issues with firmware updates, and with less that stellar battery power.

BUT - anything to be wary of with the P4?

As always, update firmware, calibrate IMU, caibrate gimbal, calibrate compass, calibrate RC before you even think about flying. Then calibrate the compass again at the launch site.

I also highly recommend using the simulator mode after you calibrate everything. Get a good feel for the app and all the controls before even putting props on your bird. I still havent flown my PH4, I have about an hour and a half on the simulator getting ready.

You can download the Phantom 4 manual here. It does not come in the box.
