New phantom 2 what should i look for to buy and avoid?

Hi all, I am on the fence about what to buy a p2v+ or a p2 with a go pro. Since I am new i ave no idea what the best mounts, gimbel, rotors, motors etc to look for when I buy a package. Can others hare there experience on what they have done to there p2 gopro's to help me out on what to look for and of course what to avoid? I like the p2v+ kit all in one ready to go with FPV but what should i be looking for if I decide to go the p2 route and use gopro and what FPV should i get? I realize budget is an issue and I have around $1500. So ANY help would be great! Thanks in advance! Greg
