Just got my new p3 advanced up and going. It is running firmware version 1.4.10+ and the remote control is running 1.4.30+. Is it ok to leave them at this firmware version? is there any advantages to leaving the older firmware on ?

I suggest first learn to fly and play with settings. You can always upgrade to the latest any time.

You're RC may or may not be transmitting at higher mw.

If memory serves me correctly it was a higher revision of firmware which also enabled the 2.7k function on camera and the IOC abilities.

The latest firmware does not have any issues. You have to do both tx and drone.

1.4 has all the IOC functions & 2.7K video. I'd leave it where you are & fly.
