New or second hand

I strongly recommend a refurbished drone from DJI. You can also look on Amazon, they have a number of drones (including P4P and Mavic) that are in perfect operating condition, but the packaging may have some scratches. For that they knock off a couple of $100...

You've got to watch out for these as they go quickly.

I would avoid eBay like the plague...

Got mine from eBay today.
Advertised as "ready to fly".
Guess what? It wasn't.
It came from a popular 2nd hand chain. (Pawn shop.)
No charger, no gimbal clamp and the blades chewed up.
One battery on the first light (20% or fail) the other on 80%.
The controller on 50%.
Propellers were beaten up and had no smooth surfaces.
I used to fly in the army and would NOT pass them as fit!
So I got a reduction.
The bird requires an firm upgrade, as does the controller. I'm NOT going to do that after following the advice on these forums.
Positive side.
I was able to connect my mobile phone (Cell or Handy for the Yanks and Germans.)
I could calibrate the Gimbal and the video looked good on live feed.
New charger, an extra £50. New Gimbal clamp from China £7, with 2 weeks delivery time.
New propellers, I have 8 pairs. 4 original, and 4 after market on the way. £16 in total.
I still don't know if it will fly! [emoji3]

Every time i bought a second hand car it turned out to be a lemon sooner or later
So I changed my mind
If you want minimal problems go always on everything for new
For a bit more money you will get warranty and peace of mind
