Got my Phantom yesterday ...did exactly a 30 second flight, had a hard landing, now one motor is dead (sort of moves...but not really). My error was that somehow I went off of GPS mode. The quad drifted off and being a newbie couldn't control it well. Lesson learned.

New motor on the way. Hopefully the ESC is ok but we'll see.

That blows, "couldn't control it" do you mean you panicked?

On the motor that isn't working pull up on the prop. If the motor shaft moves up and down when you give it a tug then the problem is the clip on the bottom has come off and is lodged inside the motor. If that is the case you will be able to extract the clip from the motor and reinstall it.

Did you figure out what you did wrong? Did you accidentally hit the S1 switch to atti?
