Hi guys...great board you all have here..Im totally hooked on the Phantom thing. I just picked up a p2v with an antenna mod on the wifi extender box....the antenna is from super power supply and thats all I know so far. The seller told me he could fly 2 miles but flew 1 mile on a regular basis. I was curious what stock range for distance and altitude is and what difference the mod makes? So far I have been up between 1000 and 1100 ft but I havent flown out of sight yet. Thanks for any feedback..Nick.

My remote does beep twice when powered on....the antenna is what I would call a "whip" style antenna that screws into a fitting added at the wifi extender. I fly in mostly a large open farm field.
I wish I had that "whip" on mine. That is very far for that type of an antenna. Mine gets me about 1500-1600 feet.
