so i just got a new DJi phantom 2 non vision and i have been flying it in social, and its starting to drift to the left a little. since i bought the copter i have not put a single update on it or downloaded anything to it. should i download something to make it safer? thank you!

Yeah, update firmware. Lots of info here or on youtube. Do a compass calibration if you haven't yet.
But there will always be some slight drift. Practice!

Have you even connected your Phantom a single time to the Phantom assistant software and performed advanced IMU calibration?
Have you calibrated your transmitter in the Phantom RC assistant and Phantom assistant?

If not, do that and see if that helped.

As mentioned above - whenever you see your Phantom drifting or behaving odd, perform a complete IMU calibration, preferably an advanced IMU calibration (Tools page of Assistant Software) followed by a compass calibration.

thanks guys! just did calibration on both controller and the IMU! hopefully this will ease my thoughts!
