I have the Nanuk 950 and the foam insert that is meant to be for the P4/P4P

When the drone is inside with the props on - they don't sit into the guards that are designed to stop the props moving before you close the lid.

I think the drone is sitting too high in the case. When I close the lid I can see the props bending with the pressure of the foam in the lid pressing on them.

Does anyone else have this? I've been sent 3 foam inserts and they've all been like this.

Also my foam has a hole in the corner where the RC sits. Does anyone else have this? top left as you'd look into the case.

The foam also has loads of glue on it - it looks like it's been assembled by a child. Do other owners see the sections that have been glued together?

It does sound like the AC is not low enough in the case if there is pressure on the props. I have the 950 for the P3P and all seems well. Perhaps the foam is not cut deep enough for the AC? If it was me I would remove the foam until the bird sits deep enough. Here's a pic of mine in the case.

Is that the 950 or the 945? The foam
Is different on mine but mine is mean to be for the p3p too. Does yours have wheels?

Here's some photos.
The props are too high. There's a hole where the RC goes and also the cut out foam is just badly done.

I've tried 3 inserts and they are all the same.

My 950 for the P3P allows me to adjust the height of the prop "guards". Just lift them up till they cradle the prop.

Yes. I can do this but I have to pull them up so high to catch the props that they have become bent because the lid presses on them.

When I close the lid and look inside I can see the whole prop bending under the pressure of the foam in the lid.

It is the 950. Yes, it has wheels and the travel adjustable handle.

Thanks for that- where your RC cutout is- is there an actual hole in the foam at the left hand side at the bottom as you're looking into the case with the lid open in front of you.

Something like this:

This is very annoying.

The UK guys tell me:

The hole is 'normal' as it provides a 'pressure release' when the cutter makes the foam.

I have had 3 versions of this foam and they all have the fault of the wrong height and also what I think is bad quality control. Nanuk keep telling me it's normal. They say they have sold 1000's and never had problems.

The Canadian chap o spoke to was very helpful. The next day he mails me and changes his tune to infer that I have a high expectation of the quality of the insert and a different type of foam can be offered at an additional cost if I wasn't happy with the standard one.

I feel that I'm being lied to. I told them the foam I have doesn't match the foam in their marketing materials and not fit for purpose. They seem to have gone quiet now.
