My Phone Won't Work With DJI GO 4

I recently did a factory reset on my phone because it was running very slow, before I reset my phone the app was working fine, now when I try to connect I plug it into the controller and it just says disconnected. The controller works fine but it will not connect to my phone. I am using an IPhone 6 Plus btw.
(Things I've Tried)
1 - Reset the drone to factory settings and reinstall the firmware
2 - Reinstalling the DJI Go app
3 - Rebooting my phone

Please help I am going to need the drone in just a few hours and any help would be greatly appreciated/

Have you tried a different cable?
Does it show as charging when plugged in?

Yes, Ive tried a different cable, it does its little charging sound and everything.

as mentioned, only time I had a issue was when I got a couple of cheap lightening leads from fleabay, the original worked a treat.

I have just decided to use my old Samsung Note 4 for the time being, until I get this resolved
